Plants, much like people, need nourishment and nurturing. Seeing them grow can be an extremely rewarding and proud experience. The GardenWorks945 program strives to provide a climate for nourishment, rewarding work, and wonderful growth. We need the help of our community to accomplish this goal! Our urban community garden has 3 objectives: to engage our homeless neighbors, to engage the community, and to create produce and flowers for our partners.
With nearly 3,000 square feet of organic gardening space, we produce quite an abundance of produce and flowers year round, all of which are shared with our neighbors and Soup Kitchen, Common Grounds Farm Stand, or Friendship Trays.
We welcome groups or individual volunteers to help us grow. Work side by side with our neighbors, in whatever the season calls for: planting, weeding, watering, or harvesting.
