Financial Contributions

The Urban Ministry Center is a registered 501(c)3 organization and all gifts are tax deductible. We receive no government or United Way Funding. Private funding from individuals, congregations and foundations gives the Center more flexibility in use of funds.

Donating Services

The donation of services is always needed and appreciated by the Center. Check out our Get Involved page for the latest availability of existing positions

Donating Stock

Another great way to help out the Center is by donating gifts of common stocks or other securities.This method of giving allows you to deduct the full market value of the securities for income tax purposes – just as if you had made a cash donation. The added advantage is that you'll eliminate paying capital gains taxes for which you would be responsible if you sell the assets instead. Even if you exceed the maximum allowable deduction in the year of the gift, you may be able to extend the deduction over five more years. The transfer is easy. Corporate Partners

The Urban Ministry Center seeks relationships with the corporate community that involve financial and volunteer support. Please consider the following:

Our Corporate Partner relationship

• Is structured as a multi-year commitment (similar in concept to a real estate lease)
• May be cancelled at any time if our company faces financial hardship.
• May be increased at our discretion during favorable economic years.
• May be combined with volunteer service but this is not required nor expected.
• Will be recognized on Center marketing materials and we will receive invitations to Center events.
